Our People

The people at Asiad come from varied professional backgrounds and different countries. We speak a variety of languages and have different skills. But, there are several things that we all have in common:

Steve Fox

Steve is a co-founder of Asiad and serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technical Officer. He brings a diverse range of experiences and skills to the company.

His first venture, a popular home computer utility suite, was sold to Evesham Micros, UK in 1985. From 1986 to 1990, based out of Seattle, he wrote independent MIDI interface software for musical equipment manufacturers Lexicon and Ensoniq and developed several alternate operating systems for Ensoniq samplers. In 1990, Steve moved to Taipei where he started work as a consultant for the foreign business community and developed several popular Windows shareware applications.

In 1995, Steve and partner, Jessie Chen, founded Overseas Connections. Overseas Connections launched several notable internet related services, including a web design service, an internet café, an internet match-making service and a Chinese language 'white pages' online directory service.

In 1998, Steve and Jessie founded Asiad I, an internet advertising service. Asiad I was acquired in 1999 by Asiacontent.com ("ACC"), an Asian joint-venture with United States based online advertising giant, DoubleClick. Steve acted as ACC's Vice- President of Business Development and Technology. Asiacontent.com listed on NASDAQ in April 2000.

Later in 2000, Steve left Asiacontent.com and co-founded BehindTheBeat, a musical artist online marketing service.

Jessie Chen

Jessie is a co-founder of Asiad.

She entered the high tech world as the International Sales Manager for Asia Vital Components ("AVC") in 1993. At AVC, Jessie developed and handled accounts for large, foreign multinational clients such as ATI, HP and Intel.

Jessie and partner, Steve Fox, founded Overseas Connections in 1995. Overseas Connections launched several notable internet related services, including a web design service, an internet café, an internet match-making service and a Chinese language 'white pages' online directory service.

In 1998, Steve and Jessie founded Asiad I, an internet advertising service. Asiad I was acquired in 1999 by Asiacontent.com, an Asian joint-venture with United States based online advertising giant, DoubleClick.

Jessie acted as a Director for DoubleClick's Asian operations. She was responsible for expanding DoubleClick's presence throughout Hong Kong, mainland China, Korea and Singapore. Largely through Jessie's efforts, DoubleClick grew to become the largest ad network in Asia boasting some of the most well-known affiliates including Cnet, MTV, MSNBC, Sina, Hinet, Seednet, PCHome and Kimo.
